Saratov Oblast to Move Clocks Forward 1 Hour at 2 AM on Dec 4, 2016
A Russian time change has been proposed for Saratov Oblast, which would see clocks moved forward 1 hour from 02:00 (2 am) to 03:00 (3 am) local time on December 4, 2016. Although the time change is not official at this point, it will likely be signed by President Putin shortly.
Russian Time Zone Changes in 2016
This will be the ninth time zone change to happen in Russia this year, including Novosibirsk Oblast in July, Tomsk Oblast in May, and Magadan Oblast in April. Several Russian time zones were changed in March.
Saratov Oblast Time Is Moving Forward
If and when the law is passed officially, an hour will be added to Saratov’s local time. This will move it from Moscow Standard Time (MSK) with a UTC offset of plus 3 hours (UTC+3) to an offset of UTC+4.
When the time change is made, Saratov Oblast time will be synchronized with the local time in Samara, Ulyanovsk, and Astrakhan.
